Working with our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a Toolmaker to join their team.

Benefits:

  • 33 days annual leave, including a shutdown at Christmas
  • Company sick pay up to 24 years (increasing with years of service)

Remit:

As a Toolmaker you will be responsible for the repair and service of injection moulding machine tools and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be time served and MUST HAVE experience in repairing and maintaining injection mould tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, repair and maintain tooling
  • Work to fine tolerances
  • Prove tooling and troubleshoot until running acceptably - target to enable the tools to run "right first-time" in a production environment
  • Liaise with operational staff to understand tooling related issues
  • Maintenance of machinery on site
  • General tool making tasks
  • To be flexible in a breakdown scenario
  • To work in a safe manner and ensure that others also work in a safe manner
  • To comply with all company rules, regulations and procedures at all times and promote good working practices throughout the workforce
  • To carry out all reasonable requests from the management and supervision team

Requirements:

  • Time served toolmaker
  • Electrical experience is an advantage but not a necessity
  • Experienced in the operation of toolmaking equipment, eg grinders, lathes, machining
  • Able to understand technical drawings
  • CNC Machining centre experience an advantage
  • A base understanding on pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Computer literate
