The Flexibles EMEA division sits within the Flexibles Division of Berry Global Inc., a US listed company with an annual turnover of around $13bn and over 40,000 employees, with manufacturing sites across the UK, Germany, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Poland, and Romania. An opportunity exists for a Planner to add to our existing Maintenance Department. This is a dayshift-based role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will work as part of a team of 20 employees and report directly to the Engineering Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide key aspects of technical support in the following areas: equipment availability and product output, continuous improvements, maintenance costs, customer service, training, and asset development.
- Task management of work allocation, overseeing work activities for all disciplines (Compliance, quality, cost, and time).
- Evaluate, monitor, and identify equipment availability and use the CMMS to create/update PPM task lists and machine schedule.
- Maintain service contracts and negotiate best price.
- Deal with contractors on site and issue permits.
- Manage stores process.
- Plan Engineering activities and events through the CMMS and share this information with key stakeholders on site to ensure a seamless plan with minimal interruptions.
- Maintain die strip schedule.
- Maintain Screw and Barrel replacement schedule.
- Plan and schedule required training and skills development by maintaining the department training matrix.
The Person:
- Good planning skills.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to problem solving.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Negotiation skills advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of CMMS and PC systems is desirable.
