Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join a school on a permanent basis. In this vital role, you will champion the needs of all learners, ensuring statutory obligations are met and resources are effectively managed. You'll lead and inspire the Learning Support team, creating a truly inclusive and accessible curriculum for every student. This is a permanent opportunity with a start date in September.

Requirements

  • A qualified teacher (QTS) with a proven track record of successful teaching and a strong understanding of SEN.
  • A recognised SENCO qualification (e.g., National SENCO Award).
  • Experience in developing and implementing effective SEN policies and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, and parents.

Responsibilities

  • Create a better learning experience for every student at the school.
  • Uphold the school's values and policies, contributing to a positive and consistent learning environment.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records for all students with SEND or additional needs, including maintaining the SEND register.
  • Oversee the SEND policy and local offer, ensuring compliance and effective implementation.
