The Company: WeTech have partnered with one of the most well-respected brands in the Sports and Outdoor wear industry. This brand operates globally and has been on an incredible growth journey that’s seen them go from strength to strength. They have ambitious plans to keep their growth journey alive which will include the expansion of their store footprint in a number of regions.
The Role: This is a great opportunity for an experienced IT Delivery Manager to come in and drive new processes and practices within the Retail development team. This role requires the ability to quickly form strong stakeholder relationships and the expertise to shape and communicate strategies to drive forward the team’s roadmap.
The key responsibilities for the role are:
- Supporting the development team, along with the Technical Team Lead, to ensure their understanding and work achieves the end goal, and the project maintains momentum.
- Creating and managing projects and workflows in Jira using a Kanban approach, according to department workflow practices.
- Maintaining a team project plan, ensuring projects are prepared according to the latest business priorities and timeframes, as well as managing the team’s capacity to start new projects.
- Delivering change in an agile manner – working with the development team to break requirements down into deliverable chunks and aid continuous release practices.
- Delivering complex projects – planning at a higher level as well as getting into the detail to make things happen when needed.
- Managing relationships with third parties, and adapting the team’s work to a Waterfall model when required.
The Person: The ideal candidate has experience in store tech solutions from working in the retail industry, as well as collaborating with C-suite & Directors to both conceptualise and push back. Involvement in projects such as Handheld terminals – RFID, Stock Management, Stock Transfer, Store Performance, Store Dashboard, Click & Collect, Order & Fulfill.
You should possess the above skills and be able to discuss and exhibit:
- Comfortable capturing and challenging briefs to ensure we are delivering the most worthwhile solutions.
- Experience in a Retail environment.
- Experience working with software development teams.
- A high level of organisation and demonstrated skills to manage a team’s capacity.
- Experience leading medium-large scale projects.
