Are you a Carpenter looking for a new challenge, or an experienced Lecturer in Site Carpentry & Joinery? We are seeking an inspirational individual who would love to share their knowledge, skills and expertise with students in this exciting and rapidly expanding curriculum area teaching Site Carpentry and Joinery to future trades people.
Applicants should hold a Level 2 or Craft certificate in Carpentry and Joinery, relevant industry experience and hold, or be willing to work towards, a level 5 teaching qualification and a level 3 assessing qualification which form part of the role.
If you are new to teaching or have taught under 5 years within Further Education you may be eligible for the targeted retention incentive payment, in addition to your salary. Payments made this year have ranged from £2,000 - £5,000 for those who were eligible. Eligibility criteria are due to be finalised by the government shortly for the 2025/2026 academic year.
