Ideal Candidate Profile:
Candidates should possess at least one of the following qualifications or statuses:
– IOA Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control: A solid foundation in the principles of acoustics and noise control.
– TechIOA or AMIOA Status: Existing membership with the Institute of Acoustics, demonstrating a commitment to the profession.
– ANC Accredited Tester: Proven experience in sound testing and compliance with industry standards.
Additionally, candidates with higher education qualifications in relevant fields will be highly regarded. Preferred courses include:
– Edinburgh: Acoustics and Music Technology BSc (Hons) or MSc
– Salford: Acoustical and Audio Engineering BEng (Hons), MEng (Hons), or MSc/PgDip Audio Acoustics
– ISVR: Acoustics with Music BSc (Hons), Acoustical Engineering BEng (Hons), or MEng (Hons)
– Derby: Applied Acoustics MSc
– LSBU: Environmental and Architectural Acoustics MSc, Technician Apprenticeship in Acoustics
– Leeds Beckett: MSc Acoustics (Top-Up)
Courses with relevant projects in acoustics are also considered, such as:
