Are you an experienced HR Leader within the University Sector? Are you excited by change and looking for an opportunity to shape and deliver a HR/People Strategy to drive wider, large scale organisational change as part of the HR SLT? Do you enjoy building capability within the HR Business Partnering function, enabling collaboration, continuous improvement and a culture of high performance?

As they look to integrate and embed this change, the role as Head of HR Business Partnering will play a pivotal role supporting with the Target Operating Model changes in line with the organisations new strategic objectives.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of HR, with 8 direct reports partnering across both professional services and academic services, this role will be responsible for:

  • Providing strong leadership and development of the HR Business Partnering team as they transition to a full BP model.
  • Supporting line management with strategic decision-making and tailored HR solutions for the differing directorates/departments/schools.
  • Driving organisational development, leadership development and employee engagement.
  • Supporting talent management and workforce planning.
  • Providing expert advice on employee relations matters in line with policy and current employment legislation.
  • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure HR's strategies and services align with the strategic priorities of the differing Schools and Departments.

It is essential that the successful candidate has experience within the University environment, as well as proven success leading and developing a HR Business Partnering Team, in the context of large scale change and restructuring.
