Purpose of the Role
- Provide engineering expertise and assurance to our engineering studies within the EMEA region covering Oil & Gas, CCUS, Hydrogen sectors.
- Provide advice into our business development, proposals.
- Represent, promote Xodus at client and stakeholder meetings as required.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in both onshore & offshore piping and plant design including equipment placement / separation, design for constructability, operability and maintainability, pipe supports and underground services interfaces.
- Strong background in supporting studies from Concept Stage up to and beyond FEED including detailed design.
- Experience with software tools in design development and checking (PDMS, Navisworks, E3D).
- Experience of working in multi-discipline project teams and understanding of discipline interfaces & project risks.
- First class communication, report writing & presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to summarise key parameters and drivers succinctly.
Qualifications, Skills & Behaviours
- Chartered Engineer (Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent).
- Lead piping & plant layout design, with experience within energy industry including brownfield modifications, greenfield modules and FPSOs.
- Sound knowledge of piping associated interfaces with mechanical equipment, metering, packages.
- Supervise, check & approve piping discipline design, procurement deliverables such as isometrics, specifications, datasheets, MTOs, piping stress requirements for a wide variety of energy studies.
- Facilitate 3D model workshops, design reviews and constructability reviews.
- Experienced in scoping & completing offshore / onshore site surveys.
- Experienced in understanding onsite construction activities & developing implementation strategy.
- Experienced in selecting suitable construction materials for process & utility piping & valves.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, project specifications and International Codes such as ASME B31.3 or equivalent.
- Experience in CCUS or Hydrogen projects would be beneficial.
- Manage piping discipline resources, budgets and maintain delivery quality.
