A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Architect with an enthusiasm for residential architecture to join our professional Design team in Caterham. Reporting to the Design Director your primary responsibility will be creating masterplans and architectural solutions for planning applications on schemes of various sizes. You will work in close conjunction with other team members and departments to see these applications through to permission and implementation on site. The role is based at our head office in Caterham, Surrey, with travel to our sites as required.

Some of your key responsibilities:

  • Working on residential projects of various sizes
  • Design of scheme layouts, masterplans & architecture
  • Production of planning application package
  • Meeting and communicating with local authorities and external stakeholders
  • Working in close conjunction with other team members and departments
  • Instruction and management of external consultants
  • Regular site visits to ensure design implementation

Requirements:

  • RIBA Part III qualified, ideally with a minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in residential architecture
  • Proven ability on Autocad and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator)
  • Strong graphic, concept, sketching and presentation skills
  • Experience of designing residential developments
  • Experience of managing applications through the planning system
  • Knowledge and experience on Revit will be beneficial but not essential.
