Looking for a new opportunity in the automotive body shop industry? Want to join a team in Nottingham? We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our team in NG8.
As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will be responsible for preparing estimates for repairs and damages on vehicles, while ensuring that you repair to insurance and customer requirements. You will be a crucial member of our team, working closely with our automotive body shop to ensure that vehicles are restored to their original condition.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare estimates for repair work on damaged vehicles, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Adhere to insurance and customer requirements, providing detailed and transparent estimates
- Order parts needed for repairs and ensure timely delivery
- Gain authorisation from insurance companies and customers before commencing work
- Liaise with the body shop team to ensure a clear understanding of the work required and the budget allocated
- Work within H&S regulations to maintain a safe and secure working environment for yourself and others
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor, within an automotive body shop environment (experienced qualified or nonqualified candidates considered)
- Excellent knowledge of vehicle repair and damage assessment techniques
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisation skills
- Experience with insurance claims and approvals
- Knowledge of vehicle regulations and safety standards
- Proven track record of providing accurate and detailed estimates
