An exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join a busy manufacturing and engineering team. This is a key role for someone with a sharp eye for detail and a proactive mindset, with the goal of maintaining high quality standards, supporting compliance, and driving continuous improvement across all areas of the business.
Day-to-Day Duties Will Include:
- Leading and completing 8D investigations, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented
- Acting as the main point of contact for escalated quality issues
- Supporting continuous improvement activity – including Gemba walks and proactive quality engagement
- Maintaining and updating the Business Management System
- Applying quality tools such as 8D, PFMEA, PPAP, and APQP
- Conducting internal and supplier audits in line with AS9100 and ISO9001
- Supporting both customer and third-party audits
- Assisting departments with quality-focused projects and queries
- Reviewing engineering drawings and customer specs for contract reviews
- Ensuring compliance with all procedures, policies, and customer standards
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Solid experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving
- Confident in reviewing and using analytical data
- Strong understanding of manufacturing quality processes
Desirable:
- Formal engineering training or qualification
- Experience developing and maintaining procedures and processes
- Internal auditor training for AS9100 / ISO9001
