We are proud to be supporting this fast expanding Scientific Company in the recruitment of 2 Production Technicians that will specialise in producing filaments used in microscopy. The roles will be based from the laboratories and offices in Rotherham. This is an immediate role and would ideally suit someone who has worked before in a scientific/clean room environment and may have worked as a Production Scientist/Operative.
In order to carry out this role the successful applicants will have:
- A background in production demonstrating a keen attention for detail and a high level of manual dexterity
- Use of hand tools and, ideally, a soldering pen
- Good eyesight (assisted or unassisted) and able to carry out precise/detailed work using a light microscope at times
- Able to carry out tasks in a methodical manner
- Self-motivated and understanding that the role is repetitive but highly important for 100% accuracy so able to maintain focus
- Comfortable working on your own and as part of a successful team
- Confident in knowing when to stop a process, troubleshooting and problem solving where necessary
- A good working knowledge of MS Office applications for reporting and responding
You will be manufacturing SEM/TEM Filaments for the microscopes and the job will involve:
- The production of filaments
- Accurate record keeping of all process parameters used for each batch of filaments manufactured
- Gaining a good understanding of the quality systems in place
- Other ad hoc duties as required
