ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Paralegal / Trainee Licensed Conveyancer for our leading client based in Peterborough. You will have at least 1 year working experience in residential conveyancing to be considered for this position.
This role is ideal for someone who wishes to pursue a career in residential conveyancing, and study to become a Licensed Conveyancer. Initially working as a Paralegal to two of our client's directors, the candidate will receive both "on the job" training from their lawyers, and classroom-based training by way of an apprenticeship. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will progress to take on their own caseload within 1 year of starting, however this would still be under the supervision of one of their qualified lawyers until they have completed their professional qualification.
Although our client is a relatively new firm in the area, their directors have a wealth of experience and are very much committed to growth. You will be willing to grow with the firm as they expand and take on more employees.
Key responsibilities:- Assisting their lawyers with the daily workload.
- Providing updates to clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers and other stakeholders.
- Issuing estimates and helping clients with our "onboarding" process.
- Carry out administrative tasks relating to conveyancing transactions.
- Completion of both in-house and external training.
- Meeting and greeting clients that attend their office in person.
- 1 year + working experience in Residential Conveyancing.
- High level of customer service.
- Strong communication skills, both in person and in writing.
- Willingness to learn and achieve a professional qualification.
- Ability to be flexible and assist with other areas of the business if/when required.
- A high degree of self-accountability.
- Excellent telephone manner.
