About the Role: Nursdoc Healthcare Recruitment is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Disability Service within the Community Learning Disability and Autism Team in Guernsey. This position provides a chance to deliver high-quality, client-centered Occupational Therapy services in a stunning island location — with accommodation and travel costs fully covered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a defined caseload within the Adult Community Learning Disability and Autism Team
- Deliver assessments, plan and implement interventions using evidence-based practice
- Collaborate with service users, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to set and achieve realistic goals
- Contribute to service development, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain professional standards and participate in ongoing CPD and supervision
Requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- DBS on update service or issued within the last 12 months
- HCPC registration
- Available for an 18 week contract starting ASAP
- Experience with Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and IT skills
- Full UK Category B driving license
Desirable:
- Knowledge of sensory integration approaches
- Experience in community-based interventions and autism-focused care
