Interim Student Development Manager
Full-time Role
Weekly Hours: 37 hours (Monday – Friday)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Interim Student Development Manager to join our Clients Student Services team at campuses located in Cambridge and Huntingdon. This pivotal role will involve planning, managing, and implementing the college’s personal development programmes for students, adult learners, and apprentices. The successful candidate will also manage key teams within student development and support, ensuring excellent services for all stakeholders and contributing to successful student progression and post-college outcomes.
- Lead and manage the teams responsible for student personal development, pastoral support, enrichment, and learning resources.
- Conduct 1:1s, appraisals, performance reviews, probation reviews, and manage holiday and sickness reporting for team members.
- Plan, manage, and implement the centrally devised personal development programme for students, adult learners, and apprentices.
- Oversee the development and delivery of materials for tutors and teachers, ensuring relevance and quality.
- Coordinate student voice programmes and enrichment activities that align with national and local priorities.
- Motivate and inspire students by delivering impactful personal development activities.
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Student Services to report on student development progress.
Requirements:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
- A relevant Level 3 qualification or substantial supervisory experience in a related field.
- Proven experience in managing personal development programmes within an educational or youth service setting.
- Ability to work with young people, motivating and inspiring them to succeed.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between campuses located in Cambridge and Huntingdon.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
