West Suffolk

Up to £20.00 per hour (DOE) + Enhanced Overtime

Our client is looking to expand their manufacturing team and require an experienced Welder / Pipe Fitter to be part of their established team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, installation, and welding of pipe systems across various industrial and commercial sites. This is a hands-on role suitable for someone with a strong background in pipe fitting, welding, and working to tight tolerances in accordance with safety standards.

What's involved for the Welder / Pipe Fitter:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and isometric diagrams
  • Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes according to specifications
  • Install and assemble pipe systems and supports such as hangers, brackets, and valves
  • Carry out TIG & MIG welding on stainless steel and other metals
  • Inspect and test installed systems for leaks using pressure tests and other techniques
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to health & safety regulations
  • Liaise with supervisors, project managers, and other trades on-site

What you'll need:

  • Proven background as a Pipe Fitter Welder within an industrial environment
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Pipe Fitting, Welding, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • CSCS Card (required)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong welding skills (TIG/MIG)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This is a Full time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday - 08:00 - 16:30, 40 hours basic per week (Saturday & Sunday work available).
