What You’ll Be Doing

As a CAD Engineer, you will take ownership of a wide range of design projects, producing high-quality CAD drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks. You’ll play a vital role in the engineering team, supporting bespoke and standardised designs from concept through to production, ensuring customer specifications are met with precision and creativity.

  • Creating and updating GA drawings and 3D models
  • Delivering customer-specific drawings for approval and production
  • Assisting with new product development and improvement projects
  • Managing engineering changes and mini-projects from start to finish
  • Coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to complete projects
  • Preparing technical documentation like datasheets, exploded views, and manuals
  • Supporting the creation of schematic drawings (e.g., P&IDs)

What We’re Looking For

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (essential)
  • Strong mechanical design knowledge
  • Experience with sheet metal and metal fabrication
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with P&IDs, AutoCAD 2D, or Revit (desirable)
  • Knowledge of mechanical pipework or basic electrical systems (desirable)
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems (desirable)
