The Role

We seek a Regional Partner (Non-Equity) to lead and expand our London presence. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced criminal law professional with strong leadership and business acumen to take on a pivotal role, drive strategic growth, and make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership – Lead the regional team in delivering the firm's strategic vision, ensuring alignment with long-term goals while maintaining operational excellence and the highest standards of legal service.
  • Team Development – Actively mentoring the junior team and supporting the recruitment, training, and development of solicitors and legal professionals within the region.
  • Legal Practice & Compliance – Ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining the firm's high standards of legal service, and ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management – Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, legal professionals, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Financial Oversight – Overseeing budgets with the Financial Director, profitability, and overall financial health of the regional operations.
  • Business Development – Identifying new opportunities for expansion (with the support of the operational team), including potential office locations, partnerships, and client growth strategies.

What We’re Looking For

  • A track record of successfully managing operational and financial performance in a legal setting.
  • Experience in leading and managing legal teams.
  • A proactive, strategic mindset with excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to identify and drive business opportunities within the legal sector.
  • A qualified solicitor with extensive experience in criminal law.
  • Strong knowledge of legal aid regulations, compliance, and funding structures.
  • A strong network and reputation within the criminal law sector.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience in setting up or expanding legal practices.
  • Understanding of regional market trends and opportunities in criminal defence law.
  • Duty Solicitor Accredited.

Working Arrangement

Full-time – Monday to Friday. (One day remote working) Office-based role in Central London with occasional travel as required.
