Trainee Payroll Administrator
Our client is looking for a Trainee Payroll Administrator to join their dynamic Administration team. In this role, you\βll work closely with the Payroll team to help deliver accurate, timely payroll services to pension scheme members.

What You\βll Be Doing:
- Assist with the full payroll process for a range of pension scheme clients
- Ensure pensioners are paid correctly and on time, meeting all legal and compliance requirements
- Process payroll updates using internal systems
- Reconcile payroll data with pension administration records
- Manage PAYE deductions and ensure timely payments to HMRC and other third parties
- Complete year-end tasks, including issuing P60s
- Handle queries from pensioners and clients via phone and email
- Keep accurate records, calendars, and team planners up to date
- Support system maintenance and provide payroll insight to other teams when needed
What We\βre Looking For:
- GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths at grade 6 or above
- Ideally educated to A-level or degree level (or equivalent)
- Strong attention to detail and a love of working with numbers
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, positive approach
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a plus
- Office experience is an advantage (payroll experience a bonus but not essential)
- Confident using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
