£13.50/£14 per hour depending on experience
Hull location
Temp to perm (opportunity to transfer to permanent contract following 12 weeks’)
Standard 45 hour working week
07:30am – 16:30am 5 days a week Monday – Friday (07:00 start on a Monday)
Overtime paid at time & ¼ following 45 hours (minimal overtime required)

THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group is seeking a Workshop Assembly Operative who is able to read basic engineering drawings and skilled with the use of various hand tools to work for our client based in Hull. As an Assembly Operative you will form part of the operations team responsible for bench duties assembling and fitting pump related equipment within a busy workshop environment.

THE ROLE
Fitting mechanical pipework and valves within various tank-based systems, utilising technical drawings
Performing a semi- skilled assembly role – delivering aspects such as gluing products, bolting, erecting pipework, grinding, drilling & tapping, etc
Optimising computer systems i.e. installing screens & dragging pre-set files across to aid configuration
Recording jobs
Working with accuracy and to agreed standards
Working to help maintain stores and keep a tidy bench area
Building and testing booster sets and pump assemblies
Receiving deliveries and performing stock allocation using counter balance FLT’s (FLT training can be provided if required)
THE PERSON
Good manual dexterity with the ability to use a variety of hand tools & drills
Ability to work within a small team (less than 4)
Bolting, gluing, grinding, drilling and tapping
Ability to work within confined spaces
Physically fit to undertake manual driven tasks
The ability to read basic drawings
Counter balance FLT license preferred (however training and licensing can be provided)
Ability to complete accurate job sheets and material records
The ability to treat colleagues, customers and visitors with respect and professionalism at all times
