Role Overview
We are seeking inspiring and committed MFL teachers to join schools across the UK from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to teach French or/and Spanish to pupils at KS3–KS5, depending on the school. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that foster a love of languages and support strong academic progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach French, Spanish and/or German to students aged 11–18 (KS3–KS5), depending on school needs.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress effectively.
- Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities, trips, or language clubs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and student outcomes.
- Uphold high standards of teaching, behaviour, and safeguarding in line with school policies.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Relevant degree in languages or related field
- Recent classroom teaching experience (including placements if ECT)
- Strong subject knowledge and ability to teach at least one MFL to KS4
- Passion for language teaching and cultural education
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to professional development and reflective practice
Desirable:
- Ability to teach MFL at A-level
- Experience working in UK schools
- Experience leading extracurricular language-based activities
- Willingness to contribute to school life beyond the classroom
