Contract Scotland are currently recruiting for an experienced Clerk of Works / Construction Manager to support a major infrastructure project based in Inverness, as part of critical railway bridge works. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in rail, piling, and craning operations to take on a key role, working in close collaboration with principal contractors on site.

Key Details:

  • Location: Inverness
  • Start: Summer 2025
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 6:00pm
  • Weekend / Holiday Work: Available at enhanced rates

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Act as the on-site client representative, interfacing daily with the main contractor
  • Oversee compliance with safety, technical and quality standards
  • Coordinate with the client’s Construction Manager and provide daily reporting
  • Monitor progress and support resolution of on-site issues as they arise

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in railway construction is highly desirable
  • Proven track record with piling and craning activities
  • Hold valid PTS and/or COSS certification
  • Strong site management or Clerk of Works background
  • Someone based in the Inverness area preferred.
