My client is a luxury home builder, renowned for delivering bespoke quality builds. They are involved with the full process of a build from plans from pre-construction to hand over. With a reputation built on excellence, craftsmanship, and innovation, they are committed to exceeding customer expectations. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join their dynamic team.

As an Estimator, you will play a vital role in pre-construction, responsible for accurately forecasting costs and budgets for their premium residential projects. You will ensure all estimates align with their high standards and financial objectives, working closely with clients, management and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for new build residential projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documents to determine costs.
  • Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure best value.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to refine budgets and ensure financial efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract negotiations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market costs, material prices, and industry trends.
  • Support value engineering initiatives to optimise project costs without compromising quality.

About You:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the residential construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and current cost trends.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
