Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Privacy Professional to join our team on a short-term contract basis to support their Data Protection program. The role will focus on providing key privacy support while they search for a permanent hire. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing team and gain exposure to various data protection initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and support Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and other privacy risk assessments, including Legitimate Interest assessments.
  • Independently manage and fulfill data subject rights requests (intake, response, and processing).
  • Review Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with third parties, ensuring compliance with privacy and data protection laws.
  • Conduct legal research and provide practical privacy and data protection advice to the business.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with privacy policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in using data management automation tools, such as OneTrust, to streamline data protection processes.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations, particularly the GDPR.
  • Proven ability to perform DPIAs and other privacy risk assessments.
  • Experience managing and responding to data subject rights requests independently.
  • Ability to conduct basic reviews of Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with third parties.
  • Legal research skills and the ability to provide privacy and data protection advice to the business.
  • Experience with data management automation tools such as OneTrust is a plus.
