What is the role? We are recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to work with both our Technical and Construction teams. As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of residential developments. Working closely between the technical and site teams, you will oversee engineering functions on-site, ensuring that works are compliant with design specifications and regulatory standards. The role will also encompass close liaison with the Local Authority, Highway Authorities, Property Management companies and external consultants regarding highway and sewer adoption. The role will include:

  • Oversee day-to-day engineering and technical operations on the construction sites.
  • Be able to set out roads, sewers & housing, carry out as built surveys.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure construction aligns with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, liaising with the technical team, surveyors, and subcontractors as required.
  • Maintain accurate records, and report progress to the Technical & Construction directors.
  • Provide engineering support to the site teams and advise on technical specifications and standards.
  • Producing cost effective technical information regarding sewer adoptions (S104, S106) whilst overcoming specific issues and finding efficient solutions for the region to maintain building.
  • Liaising closely with the Local Authorities regarding technical information for road adoptions (S38 and S278) and manage this effectively to maintain the company's interest at all times.
  • Comply with responsibilities as laid down in the Group's Health, Safety and Environment Policy.
  • Build positive relationships with contractors, suppliers, and on-site staff to promote collaboration and efficiency.

What we need from you?

  • Ideally qualified to HNC level or equivalent in civil engineering with some residential project experience.
  • By way of technical experience, you will be conversant with current regulations and CDM; you will also have knowledge of current Scottish Water & Local Authority regulations.
  • You must be an enthusiastic and hardworking individual who is willing to undertake all necessary training.
  • Current CSCS card.
