On behalf of our client we are seeking an additional Production Engineer to join their successful and constantly expanding Mildenhall team. You will oversee and optimise cutting-edge manufacturing equipment across the Assembly department.
As a Production Engineer in the Assembly department you will have the following responsibilities:
- Maintaining and repairing automated assembly equipment
- Diagnosing faults related to machine wear and product quality
- Assisting with machine operation to support production output when needed
- Investigating and implementing process improvements and cost-saving measures
- Providing training and support for new and existing team members
- Using maintenance software to log and complete tasks
To be the ideal candidate you will have the following experience and skills:
- Have 5 years + of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably 24/7 or shift-based
- Possess a strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with automated assembly machines
- Be self-motivated, disciplined, and a great team player
- Have experience working within ISO 9001:2015 standards
- Be willing to provide weekend engineering cover on a rotational basis if needed
The position offers a salary range of £35,000 to £40,000 per annum plus a generous shift allowance and the role has a choice of hours, either 0600 - 1430 or 1430 - 2200, whichever is your preference. Both are Monday to Friday.
