Are you an experienced Rural Surveyor looking for a fresh challenge and long-term career growth? We’re recruiting on behalf of a highly respected, multi-disciplinary firm of Chartered Surveyors operating across the North West. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional team known for its high standards, collaborative culture, and breadth of expertise.
The Role
This position offers an incredibly varied workload thanks to the unique blend of rural and semi-urban landscapes in Lancashire and beyond. You’ll be involved in diverse land agency work, ranging from traditional rural practice through to modern planning, development, and infrastructure projects. No two days are the same—and you’ll gain exposure to an exciting mix of sectors and client needs.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Property valuations
- Easements & wayleaves (including utilities and telecoms)
- Renewable energy projects
- Subsidies, grants, nitrate mitigation, and biodiversity net gain
- Property management and agency
- Planning and development work
- Compulsory purchase & compensation
You’ll also benefit from structured support to specialise and develop your own professional interests.
Essential criteria:
- RICS-qualified and a member of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV)
- Strong technical knowledge in agricultural and environmental matters, land use, asset and estate management
- Confident in negotiation, client communication and conflict resolution
- Excellent analytical skills with a solution-focused mindset
- Self-driven, organised, and able to manage competing priorities
- A collaborative team player
- Full UK driving licence
