About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Security to lead on the delivery, management, and optimisation of critical security tooling across the enterprise. You’ll act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), owning the implementation and support of a wide range of solutions that underpin the organisation’s cyber resilience. You’ll work closely with architecture, support, and development teams to ensure new solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned to technical strategy. Alongside your hands-on responsibilities, you’ll champion continuous improvement, contribute to documentation standards, and mentor colleagues across the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as SME for a suite of security tools, ensuring performance, resilience, and compliance.
- Lead on solution implementation, transition into support, and day-to-day operations.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation and governance artefacts.
- Own the resolution of complex incidents and problems affecting security tooling.
- Contribute to enterprise-wide security architecture and delivery plans.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
What You'll Bring
- A computing-related qualification (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience in delivering and maintaining IT services in mission-critical environments.
- Experience working with Agile frameworks and tools (e.g. ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence).
- Strong understanding of systems management, capacity planning, performance tuning, and proactive monitoring.
- Familiarity with ITIL-based service management and change control processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting.
Essential Technical Skills:
- Hands-on expertise in at least one of the following security domains/tools:
- SIEM
- EDR / SOAR / AVC
- NAPP / CSPM
- SAST / DAST
- WAFs / Firewalls
- Vulnerability Scanners
- Email & Web Gateways
Other Information:
This role includes participation in an out-of-hours support rota. Candidates must be eligible for UK National Security Vetting, typically requiring 5+ years of UK residency and UK or dual UK nationality.
