A leading engineering organisation is looking for a Principal Engineer to join their Central Data team - helping define tools, processes, and audit strategies to improve master data quality and planning output.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented, collaborative individual with ERP experience who enjoys optimising systems, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting engineering and manufacturing teams with real-time problem solving.
- Act as first-line support for daily SAP/ERP-related issues
- Define and execute audit strategies for master data (materials, BOMs, routings)
- Use SAP to extract, analyse and interpret data; Work with engineering and planning teams to improve MRP output and data integrity
- Align engineering processes with best practices to enhance ERP system output
- Support the Operational Excellence workstream focused on master data
- Create and maintain routing times for accurate SAP capacity planning
- Support testing, training, and releases
- Collaborate with third-party support partners to optimise SAP functionality
- Generate and distribute KPI reports and performance dashboards
ERP system experience essential (SAP highly desirable). Experience in planning, manufacturing or data governance preferred.
