The predicted salary is between 29000 - 42000 £ per year.
My client is a very well established environmental consultancy who have 80 - 90 specialist staff in Ecology, Arboriculture, GIS and Climate change. They have multiple hubs across the country but are open to Ecologists across the UK as they have huge amounts of work nationwide. They are looking for candidates of varying level from Consultant to Principal. They are an Employee-Owned trust in which employees have a stake in the business and receive an annual bonus. Their training is excellent as they have exceptional equipment / facilities and allow their staff to shadow selected surveys to gain more experience in a desired area.
Your work will contribute to the running of a successful and established consultancy. They are open to staff across varying offices including Guildford, Birmingham, Leeds, Cardiff, Manchester and Ipswich (working on a hybrid basis).
Main duties could include:
- Manage a range of aquatic ecology projects
- Lead aquatic ecology surveys
- Technical report writing
- Mentor junior staff
- Co-ordinate field surveys / site work
- Maintain relationships with internal teams, external subcontractors and suppliers
What you'll need to succeed:
- A degree in Ecology, Environmental Management or relevant subject
- Proven previous experience as an Aquatic Ecologist
- Knowledge of relevant UK environmental legislation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
