HRLife is delighted to be partnering with a people focused, consensus driven, highly collaborative business looking for their Global HR Director. This is a successful consultancy that has grown entirely through organic growth and is hugely passionate about their people and delivering a great service to their clients. Operating as part of their close-knit, collegial Senior Leadership Team you’ll be working with the business leaders to develop effective and joined-up HR strategies and light-touch processes that help attract, develop, motivate and retain their talented, passionate workforce. Ensuring the HR Strategy is aligned with the company’s short-term goals and longer-term business focus, you’ll combine strong commercial, business acumen with your HR expertise, keeping close to the pulse of the business and operating as a trusted advisor.
Key to your success in the role will be your ability to work closely in partnership with the SLT, really understand the business and deliver and drive HR solutions that ultimately enhance capability, drive performance, increase employee engagement and make it a great place to work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure there is a global people strategy in place that supports successful delivery of the company’s goals and aspirations.
- Regularly engage with and support global and local leaders to deliver their people plans, helping increase performance and drive development.
- Champion the culture and values fostering positive employee engagement.
- Ensure the best HR structure and processes are in place to support the successful management of the full employee lifecycle.
- Drive all aspects of talent from recruiting, onboarding, developing and retaining.
As you’ll be providing strategic direction, leadership and support, operating as an advocate and enabler of the company's vision and mission, you'll be an emotionally intelligent HR leader with a strong generalist HR background who is used to leading a multi-location, hybrid working HR team. The ability to think globally will be important as will be the ability to inspire and motivate, to win hearts and minds.
In addition, your background and skills will encompass:
- Degree educated, fully CIPD qualified.
- A track record of providing senior HR leadership ideally in a commercial, professional services, consultancy or fee-earning business.
- Experience of working in an SME, demonstrating an ability to operate strategically but also deliver operationally.
- A resourcefulness, creativity and innovative approach that comes from working in a smaller/medium-sized company.
- Strong UK employment law knowledge with experience of supporting small teams outside of the UK.
- A proven track record of leading, developing and structuring best in class HR teams.
- Able to utilise and interpret data to inform decision-making.
- A relationship builder; consultative, persuasive, respectful and influential.
This will be a hybrid role (3 days a week onsite) based between London and Oxfordshire (with at least one day in each location every week with travel to other sites as needed). Competitive salary and benefits package.
