Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer

Braintree, Essex

£37,000 - £40,000 + £3,033 on-call allowance

Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm | On-call 1 in 3 weeks

Are you a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias looking for a role that offers stability, variety, and a chance to play a key part in a vital engineering team? We’re working with a well-established temperature-controlled storage and distribution company looking to add an experienced Maintenance Engineer to their Braintree team.

The Role:

You’ll be responsible for reactive and preventative maintenance across a range of bespoke and standard machinery. You’ll be based primarily in the engineering workshop, but may occasionally work in other areas including the warehouse, plant rooms, roof areas, and external environments (with all PPE provided).

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Mechanical fault finding and repairs
  • Electrical fault finding
  • Routine maintenance on machinery and site facilities
  • Occasional travel to nearby sites (within working hours – van provided)

Equipment & Components:

  • Pallet wrappers, finger machines, electric doors, loading docks
  • Microwaves and bespoke machinery

About You:

  • Electrically biased
  • Engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship
  • Experience working in a factory or industrial setting
  • Comfortable working in varied environments including cold, warm, and humid spaces
  • Full UK driving licence
