We have an exciting opportunity for a CAD Technician/Draftsperson to be a key member of the Change Management process by actioning requests within the business to update technical documentation. This role is offered on a 6-12 month fixed-term contract basis.
The Role
As CAD Technician/Draftsperson, you will provide specialist engineering support involving machining processes and process control for new and existing components.
Key duties:
- Updating technical documentation as per Change Requests.
- Creating 3-D models via change process.
- Establishing a clear priority list of changes that align to production output and any new part introduction process.
- Ensuring the Implementation and validation of a given change request.
- Identifying areas for improvement in the process for updating technical documentation.
- Liaising with R&D to determine the need for additional V&V (Verification & Validation) for applicable Change Requests.
- Coordinating Production Engineering to review and implement appropriate actions because of Change Requests.
What are we looking for?
Key Skills:
- HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in a previous role involving updating drawings via CAD / CAM.
- SolidWorks Modelling experience.
- Experience of Change Management systems.
- Strong communicator with good interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work as part of a team and or independently with minimum support.
- Ability to manage changing priorities adapting to multiple projects at the same time.
