A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Internal Sales Account Manager based just outside Nottingham City Centre. The company ethos is very much about delivering a responsive, unrivalled service to their customers, many of whom have stayed loyal to them for a number of years due to their ability to establish and maintain strong relationships. They like to offer a more personal service than many of their blue-chip competitors and as such dedicate their time in building relationships.
Our client would like to see applicants who are confident, proactive, commercially aware and someone who enjoys working in a very busy, fast-paced environment. The position will be within their internal sales team, where the successful candidate will be required to establish and develop relationships with pre-quote and post-quote customers through telephone and email contact. This person will need to be enthusiastic and have a desire to succeed; each day will bring both challenges and opportunities.
You will be an account manager for existing business to ensure accounts are being nurtured and any opportunities for growth explored. You will also be responsible for targeting new business, contacting lapsed accounts, and will work closely with the external salesperson to drive the business forward.
Key Duties:- Quoting customers (email and phone)
- Costings
- Following up quotes / leads
- Account management of existing customers
- Administration
- Taking orders and sales order processing
- Some elements of purchasing - which will involve negotiating with suppliers
- Promotional calls / emails to customers (no cold calling)
- Contacting lapsed accounts to re-gain business (phone and email)
- Quick thinking and happy to work in a fast-paced environment
