The Crown and Horns is in the heart of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village of East Ilsley can be traced back to the Domesday Book and is noted for its great Sheep Fairs, and more recently for its horse-racing connections. The location is very rural but remains accessible, 1 hour's drive from the M25, only 10 minutes drive from Jct 13 of the M4, and 10 miles north of Newbury.

This village pub benefits from a lovely kitchen courtyard garden, with 11 bedrooms surrounding this courtyard and a private car park. As you walk into the Crown & Horns, you can smell the open fire in the winter months and hear the gentle chatter of locals catching up with each other in the small bar area. Hotel guests will check-in here at the quiet end of the bar. As you explore around the pub, you will see most of its space is devoted to dining, broken up with wooden beams and a wood burner. The large kitchen is in the heart of the pub, allowing the front of house team to easily collect food orders and communicate with the kitchen team.

Truly amazing pub food at the Crown and Horns is key to its success, delivered with personal and attentive service.

There are 11 bedrooms in total, with a great location ensuring our bedroom guests are a mix of both corporate clients during the week and leisure guests at the weekends. The bedrooms benefit from recent refurbishment and are all smart with homely touches.

The Management Partner of the Crown & Horns will be loved by the village and visitors alike, delivering effortless hospitality and going the extra mile to keep the Crown and Horns at the absolute centre of village life. The opportunity to walk your own beloved family dog in amazing countryside makes this an ideal pub for lovers of all things equestrian. East Ilsley is a village that will give back when the Management Partner supports the village, adopts a flexible approach, and leads the way in local events, such as village fairs and church council meetings.

Winning awards and industry recognition are all possible at this idyllic and historic location.

Located on the 1st floor above the dining area, there is a flat consisting of 2 bedrooms (1 ensuite), living room, kitchen/dining, bathroom, and living room.
