We are delighted to bring to market this key Engineer role that will provide an important additional resource to the technical department and play a pivotal role in delivering their private developments across the region.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with Land / Commercial departments to ensure smooth transition of information.
  • Preparing site viability reports in line with current regulatory requirements for residential development.
  • Checking all drawings and details for accuracy, correctness and commercial suitability.
  • Liaising with external consultants to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Applying for and securing statutory body approval of Engineering Design and Ground Investigation.
  • Attending site visits and meetings in order to solve issues that arise during the construction process.
  • Attending design meetings with the highways and planners to ascertain requirements from a council perspective for new developments.
  • Working on tenders and pre-start engineering documentation and overseeing viability of each one.
  • Ensuring that new regulation requirements are anticipated and incorporated throughout.
  • Assisting the Engineering Manager to obtain fee quotations from specialist consultants for all engineering design and technical report requirements.
  • Providing technical and administrative support to the site teams.
  • Obtaining all required technical approvals in line with programmed site start dates.
  • Working with the Central Design Team to develop products and research build systems to ensure we are ready for legislation and market change.

We are looking to hear from individuals who enjoy working collaboratively with all stakeholders, have a keen eye for detail and are highly analytical. Also important is being comfortable using engineering related software such as AutoCAD, PDS and Microdrainage.
