Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is the largest of Scotland’s seven regional transport partnerships. As well as running the iconic Glasgow Subway, SPT delivers an extensive range of public transport services including bus stations and subsidised bus services, manages large transport infrastructure projects and is responsible for delivery of a long-term multi-modal transport strategy for the West of Scotland.

As a member of the Customer Services team, you will be responsible for delivering the best possible customer service to all customers whether internally or externally. You will ensure the collection and distribution of items to and from SPT premises and the delivery of tickets to agents and publicity material to external stakeholders. You will also ensure the incoming and outgoing mail for the organisation is processed as well as performing audits and inspections of SPT facilities. You will deliver lost property to Police Scotland and deliver tools, equipment and supplies to the Facilities team at SPT premises as and when required.

The nature of this role may require you to work outwith normal office hours on occasion to support the operational requirements. You will be based at Buchanan Bus Station, Killermont Street, Glasgow.

Please note, this position falls into the medium risk category under the Alcohol and Drugs policy and therefore is subject to random and for-cause testing procedures.

It is essential that the successful candidate has experience dealing with the public face to face and has experience in an environment where high level of concentration, vigilance and safety awareness is required. You will be a team player, have a flexible approach to working patterns and have the ability to work unsupervised. It is essential that the successful candidate has a driving licence.
