JOB SUMMARY: This role is a great opportunity for a motivated Automation Engineer, with desire to further their automation skills. Reporting to the QA Team Lead, you will take the lead in advancing and maintaining a well-established automated regression framework built on Cypress. As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate closely with highly organized and process-driven Development and Product teams to build and enhance our .NET/JavaScript web development platform. This includes working with technologies such as C#, ASP.NET MVC, Azure, React, Blazor. You will play an integral, hands-on role in developing both public-facing and internal business systems, spanning a range of complexities and stages of maturity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Developing and maintaining an established Automated Testing Framework using Cypress
- Triaging daily failures and fixing as appropriate
- Design, develop and deploy new Automated pipeline solutions
- Analyse, provide critical feedback and contribute to User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria
- Contribute to Test Strategy Planning/Automation planning alongside QA Lead
- Managing the bug lifecycle
- Reporting status on multiple test streams
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Proven experience with Web Application development
- 3+ years Automation experience with Cypress
- Familiarity with JavaScript, jQuery, Node & Git
- Experience with Azure DevOps and integration of Automation suites into CI/CD Pipelines
- Must have a Testers Quality Mindset and be delivery focused
- Jira or similar Management system
- Understanding of REST APIs
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Experience in an Agile, Web based and Story Driven environment
- Cross Browser/Device Testing
- Accessibility Testing and experience of WCAG compliance
- Cosmos Db
- Security Testing
