Honeycomb is delighted to be working alongside our reputable client, a leading school within Northern Ireland, to recruit for a Facilities Manager, to join their team in Belfast. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market-leading establishment that takes great pride in the services they provide.
The Facilities Manager is a key role for the business. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all pupils and staff, alongside maintaining a range of sports facilities sites across Belfast.
Duties of this role include:
- Maintaining all facilities within the school premises, putting safety and attention to detail at the forefront of every decision.
- Working closely alongside key stakeholders to develop a property maintenance programme and ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.
- Delegation of tasks to the wider facilities team, assigning work, maintaining staff morale, and conducting performance/absence reviews.
- Procurement duties and acquiring facilities management services, responding to issues flagged across multiple sites and assigning work orders to contractors where applicable.
- Responsible for daily upkeep of school grounds and ensuring that any allocated works across sites have been completed to the highest of standards.
- Upholding effective communication between internal departments to ensure a smooth flow to daily operations.
- Managing the performance of contracts, working to KPIs, assisting with budgets, and providing the main point of contact for contracts managers.
High level of attention to detail and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, varied role. The Right Person for this role will have previous managerial experience and be well accustomed to working in a fast-paced, varied role. You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience working within a similar position, where you have held responsibility for facilities management. A level 4 qualification is essential for this role, and experience gained within an education environment is advantageous but not essential.
The Package for this role includes an attractive salary ranging from £45000 - £50000, dependant on experience, alongside wider attractive company benefits.
