Through an unparalleled presentation of original sets, costumes and artefacts, together with insights into the skills applied in creating Game of Thrones, the studio tour delivers an exceptional visitor experience where guests can appreciate the sheer quality of production and be immersed and transported by their magnificent surroundings.
We are seeking to recruit a Security Officer to join our diverse and dynamic team in providing services that safeguard the security of our staff, visitors and buildings. Role Overview
As a Security Officer at the Game of Thrones Studio Tour, you will be responsible for providing services to ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises and the protection of all property. You will become familiar with the layout and accessibility of our buildings and be available to carry out your duties throughout all the different areas. You will also be available to support colleagues in the Visitor Experience Team when necessary, stepping in to welcome and direct customers throughout the complex as required.
The Person
The successful candidate will be observant and alert to all types of risks that might threaten the safety of our day-to-day operations. You will have a keen eye for detail and be acutely aware of your surroundings in order to spot and prevent potential disruption or dangerous situations. You will be a confident and visible presence, always ready to step in and handle situations in a professional manner and to maintain a high level of security across the whole of Linen Mill Studios. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of any criminal activity.
Responsibilities
- Provide strong overall security across all areas within the premises, ensuring higher risk theme rooms are prioritised
- Undertake patrolling duties to deter criminal or dangerous activity
- Respond swiftly and professionally to resolve situations of conflict and danger
- Assess and identify vulnerabilities and work proactively to minimise risk
- Monitor access points and welcome and direct guests and visitors, taking particular care with vulnerable persons
- Provide customer service support across the Studio Tour
- Provide detailed and accurate reports of any incidents, liaising with management and local authorities where necessary
This list of duties is not exhaustive, and you may be required to perform additional duties within the general scope of the role as necessary. The role requires flexibility to work across Monday to Sunday, as well as occasional evenings, to support a business that operates 7 days a week. This is a casual position and regular hours are not guaranteed. Salary on offer is £12.40 per hour.
What you need to succeed:

- Previous experience working as a security officer
- Previous experience operating CCTV systems

- Previous experience of working in a visitor attraction or strong customer facing security role will be considered an advantage.
