Equal Education Partners is seeking a confident and adaptable Welsh Speaking Cover Supervisor to join our team to work in schools in Cardiff and the surrounding area. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to gain classroom experience, support students, and contribute to a positive learning environment. We are seeking applications from candidates who have experience of working with children preferably in a school environment. This role would also be suitable for Graduates who are considering a teaching career and who would like to gain experience of working in the education sector.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a productive learning atmosphere
- Support students in their learning and encourage engagement
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding protocols
- Provide feedback on lessons and student progress to teaching staff
- Adapt to different classroom settings and subjects as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people (education, coaching, mentoring, or similar)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A proactive and flexible approach to working in different school environments
- Ability to engage and motivate students
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
- Registration with the EWC (or willingness to register)
