Your new company is working with the Northern Ireland Assembly to recruit a Temporary HR Supervisor for their Human Resources Team.

Your new role involves co-ordinating with the HR Team Managers to deliver a range of services, including:

  • Recruitment and selection
  • On-boarding
  • Performance management
  • Managing attendance
  • Workforce planning
  • Employee relations
  • Providing advice and guidance on a range of HR policies and procedures

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the planning, organising and co-ordinating of efficient and effective recruitment competitions, including arranging meetings and interviews and providing advice to selection panels.
  • Co-ordinate and implement an effective on-boarding process for new staff.
  • Support the management of sickness absence in accordance with relevant Assembly Commission policies.
  • Support managers and staff with their duties relating to performance management.
  • Provide timely and accurate advice and guidance on a wide range of Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Support the Human Resources Services Team Manager in providing accurate and timely HR advice to Members.
  • Co-ordinate and implement health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Assist in the review and development of HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and provide accurate HR management information in line with data protection policies.
  • Provide administrative support for Disciplinary, Grievance and Dignity at Work casework.
  • Update and maintain data in relation to vacancy management.
  • Liaise with recruitment agencies regarding the placement of agency workers.
  • Collate and maintain accurate Equal Opportunities information.
  • Co-ordinate learning and development (L&D) activities.
  • Collate information to inform responses to Assembly Questions, Freedom of Information and Data Protection requests.
  • Support the maintenance of the integrated Payroll and HR Management System.
  • Provide operational advice to staff on various software packages used within the HR Office.
  • Comply with the Assembly Commission's Equal Opportunities and Dignity at Work policies.

You may also be required to carry out other duties as reasonably required by the Assembly Commission.

Essential Criteria:

  • The CIPD Level 3 Diploma in Human Resource Management (or an equivalent or higher qualification), and at least two years' experience in:
  • Providing administrative support for a range of HR services to tight deadlines.
  • Using effective verbal and written communication skills to explain HR policy and procedures.
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Effectively using Microsoft Office packages and HR Management Systems.
  • OR at least four years' experience in the areas outlined above.
  • What you’ll get in return:
