We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Electronic Engineer to work in a NPD and innovative environment, with multiple running projects related to smart technology for industries involved with manufacturing and automation. Join a fast-growing SME and be part of their R&D Centre of excellence, supporting a myriad of global group partners with the introduction of a range of smart technology devices.
We are seeking an Engineer, with ideally a year in industry experience to help support the expansion of hardware electronics and embedded software for a new and an expanding product range.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of hardware and embedded software for use within products.
- Building of prototypes.
- Running effective testing and diagnostics that validate product requirements.
- Assessment and documentation of products against specifications and standards.
- Writing instructions, reports, and handling other required administrative duties.
- Coordinate with and assist other departments.
- Observe existing processes and identify areas of improvement.
- Showing initiative and keeping up with advancements in Electronics.
Requirements and Experience:
- Degree or similar qualification in Electronics Engineering or comparable subject.
- Experience in electronics hardware design, development, and testing; including PCB schematic design and layout. This includes experience gained whilst at university or similar.
- Experience in embedded firmware design, development, and testing. This includes experience gained whilst at university or similar.
- Experience in the use of laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multi meters, bench power supplies.
- Understanding of new product development.
- Understanding of EMC design and test.
- Understanding of design validation process – FMEA, DFM.
- Understanding of firmware unit, integration and system testing.
