Role Overview:

As Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the full project lifecycle—from pre-construction through to delivery and final handover. You’ll manage budgets, teams, subcontractors, and client relationships to ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical project delivery from concept through to completion, ensuring targets are met on programme, cost, and quality.
  • Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Liaise with clients, design teams, and other stakeholders to develop project scopes, technical solutions, and delivery plans.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, including RAMS, cost reports, risk registers, and programme updates.
  • Monitor project performance, carry out site inspections, and resolve technical or logistical issues as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety regulations, industry standards, and company procedures.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members and support their professional development.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing mechanical engineering projects, ideally within the building services or construction sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, heating, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent planning, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working with project management software and MS Office.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications (desirable).
  • HND/HNC or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
