The Role
The Head of Marketing will lead and inspire the creative vision and execution of all marketing campaigns, ensuring a strong alignment with brand strategy and business goals. This role combines strategic leadership with a hands-on approach to create compelling, impactful, and innovative marketing content that drives brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth.
This pivotal role will shape and evolve the brand’s narrative during its early stages of growth, ensuring creative marketing initiatives not only make waves within the industry but also directly contribute to day-to-day execution. As part of a small, dynamic team, this hands-on position requires a balance of strategic vision and the ability to roll up your sleeves to bring ideas to life.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Leadership:
- Develop and execute a visionary creative strategy that positions the brand as an industry leader.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of designers, content creators, and other creatives.
- Champion the brand’s visual identity and tone of voice across all channels and touchpoints.
- Encourage innovation by cultivating a diverse and inclusive environment that leverages unique perspectives.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align creative initiatives with business objectives and marketing strategies.
- Identify emerging trends and innovative approaches to maintain a competitive edge.
- Oversee the development of creative briefs and ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs.
Campaign Development and Execution:
- Drive the end-to-end creation of integrated marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, print, video, and experiential marketing.
- Ensure campaigns resonate with target audiences and achieve measurable goals.
- Manage multiple projects, balancing short-term deliverables with long-term strategic initiatives.
Brand Management:
- Maintain and evolve the brand identity to reflect market trends and company growth.
- Uphold consistency across all creative assets, ensuring brand guidelines are rigorously applied.
- Working closely with Head of Communications on identifying opportunities for co-branding or partnerships to amplify reach and relevance.
Trade Marketing:
- Work with our retail partners to ensure the brand story is communicated consistently and aligned with internal marketing strategies.
- Develop innovative retail concepts that differentiate the brand and help achieve its goals and objectives with each retail partner.
- Develop toolkits to empower field sales teams market the brand at a tactical level.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Product, Sales, and other departments to ensure cohesive messaging and creative synergy.
- Serve as the creative point of contact for external agencies and partners.
Performance Measurement:
- Establish KPIs for creative initiatives and regularly assess their effectiveness.
- Use data-driven insights to refine creative strategies and improve outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design, Communications, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in creative marketing roles, with at least 3 years in leadership positions.
- Proven track record of developing award-winning campaigns and managing high-performing creative teams.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, including social media, content marketing, and paid media.
- Proficiency in creative tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and project management software (e.g., Monday).
- Familiarity with analytics tools like Google Analytics.
Skills:
- Exceptional storytelling, copywriting, and visual communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into compelling creative concepts.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
