About the Role:
- Maintenance of the documented production Quality Management System
- Ensuring effective and timely completion of production process internal audits
- Participate in external audits of the production process including compliance audits to BS EN ISO 9001
- Identify opportunities to improve and assist in developing corrective actions towards continual improvement of the production process
- Run the Quality Assurance laboratory effectively and efficiently
- Manage, lead, train and evaluate competency of staff under your control for their safety, effectiveness and efficiency of operation
- Liaise with relevant central process areas with regards to product integrity
- Provide analysis and reports from internal controls and customer complaints
- Participate in product, production process and raw material developments
- Liaise with suppliers
- Maintain accuracy of raw material stocks
- Supervise the upkeep of the site
- Act as quality representative as prescribed by BS EN ISO 9001
Hours of Work: 7.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
About You:
- Previous experience of working as a Quality Assurance Team Leader or similar
- At least 1 year people management experience with a transformational leadership style to promote teamwork, open communication, can do attitude, and a culture of continuous improvement
- The ability to initiate, manage, evaluate and accept change
- Experience of using a QMS Quality Management System
- Laboratory Testing experience
- Experience of quality policies and procedures
- Ability to manage, maintain and operate quality control systems
- Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation
- ISO 9001 experience
- Encourage Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
- Take part and support the 5Ss, Kaizen and Visual Management techniques
