If you are an experienced engineer with software assurance experience, then please read on! I am currently recruiting on behalf of a global leader in Defence, who are looking for a number of engineers to ensure the quality and operability of software that will be used on cutting edge projects in the industry.
Please note, this is not a software test position, rather a role that will work alongside developers, engineers, and testers to qualify the software against requirements and present it to the end client.
The Role:
- Plan and carry out software assurance activities including reviews of plans, processes, witnessing testing, inspections and auditing.
- Review software plans, documentation and software aspects of system level plans and documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Engaging with System Designers, Software Developers and other engineering disciplines in the design process to ensure that software meets requirements.
- Document the level of risk, provide evidence and reporting for Senior Management.
- Work with a range of stakeholders at all levels to resolve non-conformances and programme risks.
Any background in a highly regulated industry, such as automotive, rail, oil & gas etc will be considered for this position, ideally from an engineering perspective. Engineers with a systems assurance/validation sort of background would be relevant for this position also.
