We are seeking a Deputy Project Manager to play a key role in supporting the delivery of critical work packages within a high-value nuclear project. As a Deputy Project Manager, you will work closely with the Project Manager, ensuring the successful delivery of key work packages and contributing to the overall execution of the project. The Role
- Deputy Project Manager for a major nuclear new build project
- Assist in managing the delivery of key work packages, ensuring all milestones are met on time and within budget
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Project Manager to oversee project planning, coordination, and execution
- Support in the management of project risks, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards
- Lead and coordinate project teams across various disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery
- Ensure effective communication with stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and clients
- Travel between the UK, Germany, and France as needed to support the project’s international scope
The Person
- Experience as a Deputy Project Manager or Project Engineer in an EPC/EPCM or engineering environment
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, ideally within the nuclear sector or similar high-stakes industries (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Pharma, etc.)
- Strong background in Mechanical/Piping Engineering, with experience in managing multidisciplinary teams
- Exposure to the full project lifecycle, from conceptual design through to construction, commissioning, and handover
- Proven track record of delivering EPC/NEC projects, with strong knowledge of project management methodologies
- Ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage internal and external project stakeholders
- Native English speaker required; proficiency in German or French is highly desirable
