We have an exciting new opportunity for a TECHNICAL AUTHOR to be based at our clients premises in West Cumbria.
About the Role:
- To produce a suite of compliant, professionally produced Operation and Maintenance (O&M) documents within defined timeframes.
- Interrogating engineering/design and vendor information to produce the System Overview Documents (Volume B) and to enable the collation of Vendor documents (Volume D).
- Reporting directly to the Commissioning Support Manager.
- Providing weekly progress updates.
- Attending progress meetings.
- Checking verification requirements in Commissioning Test Documents.
- Ensuring Safety is the highest priority on the project, with a continued strive towards Zero Harm.
- Ensuring quality standards and consistency are applied throughout the range of documentation being produced.
- Supporting the development of a collaborative project culture in line with the Collaborative Working Plan.
Essential Experience and Qualifications:
- Nuclear background.
- Minimum HNC in an appropriate discipline.
- Previous Technical Author experience.
- IOSH Working or Managing Safely.
Design Tools/Software:
- Microsoft Office suite, specifically: Word, Excel, Visio.
