The Role
Are you an experienced CRM marketing professional who’s passionate about delivering exceptional user journeys and driving impactful student recruitment campaigns? We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on Senior CRM Marketing Manager to lead the transformation of our CRM strategy and create seamless, data-driven customer experiences.
In this role, you’ll lead the delivery of our Groups CRM marketing strategy, working closely with teams across marketing, student recruitment, admissions, and subject matter experts. You’ll design and execute CRM campaigns that drive student acquisition and conversion, while also improving existing user journeys.
You’ll need a solid understanding of CRM marketing technology and automation, using customer data segmentation and propensity modelling to deliver highly targeted, omni-channel experiences. This is a fast-paced, data-driven role where you’ll be responsible for ensuring compliance with data protection and electronic communication regulations, while optimising campaigns to boost student recruitment across global audiences. You’ll also act as a stand-in for the Head of Web & Digital Marketing in their absence, keeping things running smoothly and providing strategic direction across the web and digital marketing functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead CRM strategy & roadmap: Develop short- and long-term CRM marketing strategies across the customer lifecycle, working with stakeholders and technical teams to bring the vision to life.
- Omni-channel journey development: Plan and deliver integrated CRM marketing campaigns that enhance user journeys and conversion rates, while keeping costs under control.
- Data-driven decision making: Use customer data, insights, and propensity modelling to design personalised, segmented journeys that drive student recruitment.
- Web & digital marketing integration: Bring a strong understanding of web marketing, user experience, and digital strategy to make sure CRM campaigns work seamlessly with web initiatives. You’ll collaborate with the web team to optimise user journeys across both channels.
- Team leadership & people management: Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive, collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and support career development through coaching and mentoring.
- Compliance & governance: Ensure all CRM activities comply with data protection and electronic communication regulations, maintaining high standards of data integrity and security.
Our Successful Candidate:
To be successful within this role you will need strong people management and leadership skills, with experience in building and motivating high-performing teams. You will also need proven experience in CRM management, with a track record of leading transformation and delivering successful CRM strategies. Expertise in CRM marketing tools, automation, and data segmentation, with a focus on user journey optimisation. Hands-on experience in omni-channel marketing, including email, web, social, and paid digital channels.
To have a solid understanding of web strategy, user experience, and digital marketing best practices, ensuring CRM activities align with web-based initiatives. Demonstrated success in data-led CRM strategies, personalisation, and audience segmentation. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. With a good knowledge of legal compliance, including data protection and electronic communications regulations. Experience stepping into leadership roles and managing cross-functional digital marketing initiatives would be a bonus.
